FAQs
Is online therapy effective?
For many people yes, online therapy offers accessibility and consistency they otherwise may not have. I’ll aim to ensure our space feels private, and that the tech works for you.
How long will therapy take?
It varies. Some people benefit from a focused short-term block (6–12 sessions), others prefer longer‑term work. We’ll review together on first contact.
What is integrative therapy?
An integrated approach acknowledges that no single mode works for everyone, and that effective therapy often requires drawing on multiple concepts to inform the work and meet the client’s individual needs.
What if I’m not sure therapy is for me?
That’s okay, and it’s not uncommon to feel this way. An introductory call can be arranged offering a chance to ask questions and see how it feels for you, without obligation.
What can I expect from my therapist?
I am committed to treating clients with the utmost care, respect, and confidentiality. As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I’m also committed to abide by and uphold their Ethical Framework, as well as maintaining my continuing professional development and clinical supervision.
Do you work with crises or risk?
I’m not an emergency service. If you’re in crisis or at risk of harm, I recommend the following:
